Edit a File

This exercise will take you through simple editing using only the "destructive backspace" and the "read from the top of file" commands:

1. Turn on the Braille N Speak by moving the toggle switch on the right side of the BNS to the back position. If you haven't already created the file in the "create a file" excercise, do so now. If you have, the file named "test" should already be opened. Using appropriate Braille contractions, let's practice by typing in the following phrase: This is a test.

2. If you make a mistake, you can backspace to erase the previous character by pressing the b-chord. The destructive backspace always starts from the end of the file.

3. To read the file, you must first navigate to the top of the document by pressing l-chord, then use er-chord to read the file to the end.
